Board of Selectmen, Assessors and Overseers Meeting

January 16, 2012

Guests:  Charlotte Boynton (Wiscasset Newspaper), Robert Fairfield, Robert Moulton (Rep. for Wollins) &

              Alex Brodsky (Lincoln County News)

 

1. BOS Meeting Commenced:

Jerry called the meeting to order at 07:00 p.m.

 

Business Conducted:

 

2. Warrant:  

Jerry motioned to approve Warrant # 29 for a total of $100,853.54

 (Payroll- $100,331.54 Payables- $522.00); Ross 2nd, vote 2-0

 

3. BOS Minutes:

Jerry motioned to accept the minutes of January 9, 2012. Ross 2nd, vote 2-0

 

4. Easement on Baker Road:

Robert Moulton (Representative for Wollins) Baker Road issue.  Robert expresses the town provide proof of easement on Baker Road.

            Concerns:

A.    Town to provide details on correspondence.

B.     Documentation of Deed.

C.     Wollins allowed the bus to turn-around in 1971?

D.    What is the width of the road?

E.     Wollins agreed to remove the debris from the turn-around.  Jerry commented that the removal of the debris was according to the attorney’s letter.

F.      Remove all debris by January 20, 2012.

 

 

 

 

5. Avoiding a Health Hazard:

Ann Cavanaugh, Westport Island, Health Officer has sent a letter to Thomas Dedee to remove the debris from his yard to avoid a health hazard.

 

6. Concerned Citizens:

Ann & Neil Cavanaugh were driving by Randy Russell’s home when there was an explosion.  Thinking that a transformer blew, but it was only fireworks going off.

 

7. Meeting Adjourned:

Jerry motioned to adjourn the meeting at 7:30 p.m.; Ross 2nd, vote 2-0
