Meeting Commenced:

1. George called the meeting to order at 7:08 p.m.

Business Conducted:

2. Jack moved to pay the First Selectman’s dues for 2008 membership to the Midcoast Municipal Association of $10.00. Brenda seconded the motion; vote: 3-0.

3. George announced that Westport Island received the DOT SHIP grant that the town had applied for $50,000.00 to complete the funding for the floats at the Wright Landing. Jacked moved to have the First Selectman sign the approved agreement; George, 2^nd; vote: 3-0.

4. George moved to approve the minutes of the February 11, 2008 meeting. Jack seconded the motion; vote: 3-0.

5. The draft of a letter in response to an email from E. Davies Allan was reviewed and signed. Mary Ellen Barnes expressed her opinion that any such town negotiations be done in public session and in compliance with the state’s Right to Know Law.

6. Warrant No. 34 for $9,019.38 was presented. George moved to approve; Brenda, 2^nd; vote: 3-0.

7. Brenda moved to authorize George to answer the DHHS survey; Jack, 2^nd; vote: 3-0.
