BOARD OF SELECTMEN, ASSESSORS AND OVERSEERS OF THE POOR MEETING

Present:

 

Board members: George D. Richardson, Jr. and Brenda J. Bonyun

Citizens:  Ruth and John Nelson; Mary Ellen Barnes; Dennis Dunbar

Guests: Charlotte Boynton of the Wiscasset Newspaper and Bob Fairfield of Wiscasset

 

Meeting Commenced:

  1. George called the meeting to order at 7:15 p.m.

 

Business Conducted: 

 

  1. Warrant No. 45 for $26,986.39 was presented. George moved to approve; Brenda, 2nd; Vote: 2-0.
  2. Minutes of April 28, 2008 were reviewed. George moved to accept them with a minor correction; Brenda, 2nd; Vote: 2-0.
  3. George has contacted Jonathon Youde of Power Options reference an oil bid.  A tentative bid date is set for May 20th.
  4. The B.O.S. reviewed a letter from Mary Ellen Barnes reference the History Committee.   The ad hoc History Committee members include:  Anne Bradford, Bill Cooney, Carol Spiegel, John Nelson, Ruth Nelson, Ron Tarbox, Cora Tarbox, Judy Hughes, Sandy Besecker, Senie Morton, Debbie Williams, Mary Ellen Barnes and Jack Swanton.   George moved to appoint all members; Brenda, 2nd, Vote: 2-0.
  5. George moved to sign an abatement and supplemental bill for Bruce Stedman for Map 5 Lot # 30; Brenda, 2nd; Vote: 2-0.
