BOARD OF SELECTMEN, ASSESSORS AND OVERSEERS OF THE POOR MEETING

MAY 12, 2008

 

Present:

 

Board members: George D. Richardson, Jr. and Brenda J. Bonyun.  A quorum was present.

Citizens: Chad Davis, Westport resident WHS student

 

Meeting Commenced:

 

  1. The meeting convened at 7:06 p.m.

 

Business Conducted: 

 

  1. Warrant No. 46 for $29,012.10 was reviewed. George moved to approve; Brenda, 2nd; Vote: 2-0.
  2. The minutes of May 5, 2008 were reviewed. George moved to accept; Brenda, 2nd; Vote: 2-0.
  3. The BOS opened bids for mowing.  They received one sealed bid.  It was from John Wallace of Coastal Grounds Keeping. He bid to mow the Town Office for $10 per mowing and the Town Hall for $20 per mowing.  The bid included insurance information which is available upon request. George moved to accept the mowing bid from John Wallace provided he furnishes a copy of his insurance. Brenda seconded the motion; Vote: 2-0.
  4. George moved to reappoint Michelle Chartier as Town Clerk and Registrar of Voters; Brenda, 2nd; Vote: 2-0.

 

Meeting Adjourned:

 

  1. George moved to adjourn at 7:11 as he was very ill; Brenda, 2nd; Vote: 2-0.
