BOARD OF SELECTMEN, ASSESSORS AND OVERSEERS MEETING

JUNE 2, 2008

 

Present:

Board members: George D. Richardson, Jr., Brenda J. Bonyun and John B. Swanton

Citizens:   Dennis Dunbar and Bob Mooney

Guests:  Charlotte Boynton of Wiscasset Newspaper  

 

Meeting Commenced:

George called the meeting to order at 7:06 p.m. 

 

Business Conducted: 

  1. Warrant No. 49 for $12,220.57 was reviewed. George moved to approv;. Jack, 2nd; Vote 3-0.
  2. The minutes of a violation hearing on May 29th were reviewed reference the Adkisson Shoreland Violation.  George moved to accept as written; Jack, 2nd; Vote 3-0.
  3. The following abatements were reviewed:

Leo Martin                   Map 7/Lot20                $2132.09

George Richardson       Map1/Lot 26                $66.25

Cromwell L.L.C.          Map 5/Lot 47               $1275.10

George moved to approve; Jack, 2nd; Vote 3-0.  The abatements were signed.

  1. A supplemental tax warrant for George Richardson, III was reviewed on Map5/Lot43.2/43.2T for $196.89.  A second supplemental tax warrant ($40.96) and an abatement ($2,139.31) for Wes Bladow, Map6/Lot 60.2 was also reviewed.   Both were moved to be approved by George; Brenda, 2nd; Vote 3-0.
  2. The B.O.S. wrote a letter to David and Betsy Forrest approving their tree growth application for 24 acres. George moved to approve the letter. Jack seconded the motion. Vote 3-0.
  3. Bob Mooney brought an amendment to the board for the W.V.F.D. warrant request for the budget.

 

Meeting Adjourned:

      George moved to adjourn at 8:35 p.m.; Jack, 2nd; Vote 3-0.

      Cupcakes were served in celebration of George’s birthday.
