BOARD OF SELECTMEN, ASSESSORS AND OVERSEERS MEETING

Citizens: Paul Bonyun, Dennis Dunbar and Bob Mooney
Guests: Charlotte Boynton of the Wiscasset Newspaper
and Bob Fairfield of Wiscasset
Meeting Commenced:
1.
George called the
meeting to order at 7:15 p.m.
Business Conducted:
2.
Warrant
No. 52 for $53,552.10 was reviewed. George moved to approve; Brenda, 2nd;
vote: 3-0.
3.
Minutes
of the June 16, 2008 meeting were read. Brenda
suggested the addition of the discussion with Albert Greenleaf. George concurred. The minutes will be corrected.
4.
The
B.O.S. wrote a letter to Joanne Walker in answer to her letter of June 10, 2008
and informed her they cannot settle civil disputes.
5.
Ross
moved to appoint George Chairman of the B.O.S.
Brenda seconded the motion; Vote: 2-0.
6.
Bob
Mooney and Paul Bonyun met with Ken Desmond fire department’s loss of its
assistant chief.
The 3 Selectmen and the Road Commissioner must
attend NIMS classes being held at the Wiscasset Fire Station from Ken. Sunday 8 am to noon is available.
7.
George
moved to re-appoint Archie Bonyun to the Planning Board for 2 years effective
June 23rd. Ross seconded the
motion; Vote 3-0. The appointment was
signed.
8.
Ross
resigned from the Board of Appeals due to being elected Third Selectman.
9.
Dennis
Dunbar submitted a summary of appropriations from Town Meeting.
