Meeting Commenced:
1. Selectman George D.
Richardson, Jr. called the meeting to order at 12:15 p.m.
Business Conducted:
2. Warrant: The warrant was reviewed and George motioned
to approve Warrant No.24 for $116,091.77; Ross, 2nd; vote: 3-0.
3. Minutes:
The minutes of
the Dec. 07, 2009 meeting were reviewed. George motioned to accept as written; Jerry,
2nd; vote: 3-0.
The minutes of
the Dec. 01, 2009 Ferry Landing bid proposal opening were reviewed. George
motioned to accept as written; Jerry, 2nd; vote: 3-0.
4. Ferry Landing Project: On hand to sign the Ferry Landing contract were Tom Quinn, Vice
President of Whorf Construction, and Steve DeWick of Pine Tree Engineering. Three
contract copies were signed by Quinn, DeWick and the Selectmen. Monthly
progress meetings were established among all parties with the first (pre-construction)
to commence at 11:00 am on Dec. 21, 2009 at the Town Office followed by a site
visit. Selectmen will post the Ferry Landing construction closure starting Dec.
22, 2009 until further notice.
5. Budget Committee Proposed
Deliverables: A request from the Budget Committee dated Dec. 08, 2009 to review
the proposed committee deliverables was tabled until next week’s BOS meeting.
